Prepare for Transition
This semester I am most excited about learning new concepts and the end of our clinical experiences. I am also excited about looking forward to this next step in our lives, I can’t wait to start looking at jobs and what this next step will look like. I am going to celebrate this next step by taking a vacation with family and probably friends before I start a new job and will be busy. I will also celebrate by taking a break and doing self-care as I will probably be very stressed for graduating and taking the NCLEXs. I would say that I am most anxious for finishing this semester only because it is the end of our college years, and we will be starting a new chapter and getting jobs which is always scary to think about. Another think I’m nervous for is taking these last exams, I always get nervous for exams and thinking about the big NECLEXs exam is nerve wracking as well. I would also say that I am anxious to make the most of this last semester, doing all that I want to accomplish but also doing well in these last classes that we are taking.
To prepare for and plan for this semester and my weekly study schedule I will plan to study every weekend, I will plan to go over the material from class after we go over everything. I will study for about 3 hours and take breaks when studying, I will also do supplemental learning like ATI quizzes and readings from the chapters. While doing the ATI Nurse Logic 2.0 Modules I learned about time management, when to study heavy content and when I should start studying and for how long. I also learned good study tips as well as questions that should be prioritized and where I should focus most of my time studying like select all that apply questions. I learned about concepts that will be on the exams as well as priority questions and concepts that I should be studied the most.
