Planning change

I believe that this dissemination project will be a good learning opportunity for everyone and not just in the aspect of EBP and doing a class project but in that we will have to figure out how to communicate with nurses on our floor about what they think needs to be changed. I think that might also be a learning opportunity for them as well because some people might think everything is going well and nothing needs to change but if more digging and research is done then it could show that there are more problems than people may realize. I think working as a team will be hard at first only because getting into the groove of working with people you may not work with every day is something everyone has to get used to, but I think we’ll adapt quickly, and we’ll be able to communicate openly about our opinions.

Our plan to hold ourselves and each other accountable really realizes on good communication as well, if we see someone slacking or not doing well, we’ll talk to them about it, see if everything is ok and then ask them to be able to get their part of the project in on time or if they need help then being there for them as well. I think that also will go hand in hand with conflict as well, we’ll need good communication with each other and if there is then we’ll all have to either sit down with each other or if it gets bad enough well talk to the teach about where we should go from there. Being a team and working together is a big part in this project and if it can’t happen then we ask for help so that it can. Being able to hold myself accountable is something I would say I’m good at, I don’t like having thing be done last minute so I’ll get what I need to do, but if I need help then I’ll ask someone if they understand better than I do or if they have tips on where I can go if I’m stuck. I don’t think there will really be barriers that we’ll have to overcome, I think we might get stuck on an aspect of the project and not know where to go from a certain point, but we always have resources to go to like our clinical instructor as well as the professor if we need help. I think being able to ask for help early on is always a good thing and will help all of us in our future nursing carriers.
