Assumptions
When I think of ethics, I think about doing the right thing for others and looking at the greater good even if it may be a difficult decision. The role that nurses have regarding ethical evidence implementation and generation I would assume is that they find or come across an ethical problem and they do research on it. That something is wrong with a patient that has a hard ethical question towards it like if a patient who is malnourished should be able to go home when we know they probably won’t get the correct nutrition but we can’t really send them anywhere else. What would we do in something like that, nurses would get together with other members of the care team or present the problem to the ethical committee and go from there? Once a decision is made they would implement that into the patients care plan, I’m not sure if they do any specific research, they may add what they already know and have the committee do the research but I’m not sure on that.
